Ultra Precision ACBB (Angular Contact Ball Bearings)
Characteristics: P2 (ABEC 9) class; 3 µm ball grade; silicon nitride ceramic balls optional; 14°–20° contact angles.
Advantages: Runout <1 µm for scanning mirrors or gyroscopes. Speed 30% higher than standard P4 ACBB due to reduced centrifugal force of ceramic balls.
Technical Ceiling: Axial runout 0.5 µm max; speed factor 2.2M DN; dynamic capacity degradation 1% per 10,000 hours at max speed.
Caution: Standard bearings cannot achieve P2 runout even with sorting. The inner ring fit must be js4 (not standard k5). Thermal conditioning required before measurement – 20°C +/- 0.1°C.
